There are several manufacturers of shower water filters. Most of these systems do not employ a replaceable cartridge. Rather, the system is self contained which requires the homeowner to discard the entire unit. This is wasteful and costly. Our system has many desirous features. First, it houses an affordable cartridge. After ten thousand gallons of treatment simply change the cartridge for approximately $15.00. Second, the LED indicator monitors the cartridge life. The last and most important feature is the cartridge media employed. The KDF 55 filtration media is effective in removing chlorine and other harmful contaminants by employing oxidation / reduction (redox) technology *. Be assured that this media will remove contaminants that harm / dry skin and hair and also can be unhealthy as a result of inhalation or trans-dermal absorption.
